Dusty initially found Parrot Outreach Society in 2011 while walking through Punta Gorda and was intrigued. She volunteered, adopted an African Senegal named Keiko and has him to this day. Dusty has since returned to Idaho but is an active board member. She is a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and property manager. She loves taking Keiko for walks and to work and outside to play.

Anne is retired from public education. She spends winters in Port Charlotte and summers in Rhode
Island. She first became interested in parrots as a child, but had to wait until she was an adult to have
one of her own (parental rules). Chico, her blue and gold macaw, came into her life as a hatchling over
20 years ago when she was relatively new to the world of tropical birds. The store owner required her
to read lots of books and articles before she would sell her a parrot. Some years later, she began
helping out at POS cleaning cages and assisting with office projects. There has been lots to learn over
the years.
Anne shares her life with her husband, Steve and adorable chihuahua, Pedro. She enjoys, sailing,
gardening and working with the Girl Scouts of southeastern New England.
